Each month, we will be highlighting a list of picture books from Social Justice Begins with Me. The lists were compiled by ETFO members Jill Aoki-Barrett, Niagara, Lauren Chapple, Durham, and Emily-Hastings-Speck, Peel. For the month of October, we’d like to share a list of books on immigration. These books can be used in conjunction with the lessons from the SJBWM kit to provide a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment for many of our newcomer to Canada learners.
