The Story of ETFO is a Story of the Fight for Women's Rights
The story of ETFO is, in many ways, the story of the fight for women and women’s rights, beginning with equal pay for women, fighting for pregnancy and parental leave – later adopted across the province – and ensuring that women’s voices are heard at decision-making tables.
Our Resolve Remains Unshakeable
On February 12, the Ontario Court of Appeals upheld the ruling that Bill 124 was an unconstitutional attack on workers’ rights, marking a pivotal moment in ETFO’s fight for free and fair collective bargaining.
New Agreements and a Secure Path Forward
With bargaining, lobbying, public campaigns, government submissions, legal challenges, dozens of concurrent programs and all of the other work that ETFO does in service to our members, this fall was an extremely busy time.
